RULES & REGULATIONS

General Conduct
  • Respect Everyone: Show respect to all members, instructors, and staff. This includes refraining from negative comments and ensuring positive interactions.
  • Punctuality: Arrive on time for classes and training sessions. Latecomers may be denied entry to avoid disruptions.
  • Personal Hygiene: Maintain high standards of personal hygiene. This includes showering regularly, wearing clean gear, and using deodorant. Keep nails trimmed and cover any open wounds to prevent infections.
  • No Outside Coaching: Respect the coaches and their methods. Do not give unsolicited advice to other members.
Safety and Training Etiquette
  • Warm-Up: Always participate in the full warm-up to prevent injuries.
  • Controlled Sparring: Engage in controlled sparring. Do not go full force unless explicitly stated by the instructor.
  • Tap Out: Respect the tap-out. If your partner taps, release immediately to prevent injuries.
  • Communication: Communicate with your training partners. Inform them if you are injured or need to stop.
  • Use of Equipment: Treat gym equipment with care. Wipe and Return all equipment to its designated place after use.
  • Injury Prevention: Always use proper technique to minimize the risk of injury. Ask for help if you are unsure about a move or technique.
  • First Aid: Know the location of the first aid kit and be familiar with basic first aid procedures. Report any injuries to the staff immediately.
  • Buddy System: When practicing potentially dangerous techniques, use the buddy system to ensure someone is always watching and ready to assist.
  • Mouth Guard and Groin Guard: Mouth guards and groin guards are compulsory for all fighters and students during sparring sessions to ensure safety and prevent injuries
Cleanliness
  • Wipe Down Equipment: Clean all equipment and mats after use to maintain hygiene
  • Personal Items: Keep personal belongings in designated areas. Do not leave items on the mats or training area.
  • Gym Maintenance: Report any spills, broken equipment, or maintenance issues to the staff immediately.
  • Keep Toilet Clean: Ensure the toilet is kept clean. Dispose of waste properly and leave the facilities as you would like to find them.
Gym Attire
  • Appropriate Clothing: Wear suitable workout clothing such as moisture-wicking shirts, rash guards, shorts, or compression gear. Avoid loose or baggy clothing that could get caught or cause accidents.
  • No Shoes Allowed: No shoes are allowed on the mats. Barefoot training only.
  • Protective Gear: Always wear appropriate protective gear, such as mouthguards, gloves, shin guards, and headgear during sparring and intense training sessions.
  • Gi and No-Gi: For Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or other disciplines requiring a gi, ensure your gi is clean and fits properly. For no-gi classes, wear rash guards and grappling shorts.
Muay Thai Attire
  • Muay Thai Shorts:
    o Design: Muay Thai shorts are typically short and wide-legged to allow for a full range of motion, especially for high kicks and knee strikes.
    o Material: Lightweight and breathable fabric, often satin or polyester.
    o Fit: Snug around the waist with an elastic band, but loose and flexible around the legs.
  • Tank Top or T-Shirt:
    o Fit: Fitted but not too tight, allowing for easy movement of the upper body.
    o Material: Moisture-wicking fabric to keep you dry during intense workouts.
  • Hand Wraps:
    o Purpose: Protects the hands and wrists from injuries during training and sparring.
    o Length: Typically 180 inches for adults, but shorter lengths are available for smaller hands.
    o Material: Cotton or a blend of cotton and elastic for a secure fit.
  • Boxing Gloves:
    o Weight: Commonly 12-16 ounces for training, but competition gloves may be lighter.
    o Fit: Ensure a snug fit with enough room for hand wraps underneath.
    o Material: Leather or high-quality synthetic materials for durability.
  • Shin Guards:
    o Type: Choose between traditional Muay Thai shin guards or more protective models with additional padding.
    o Fit: Should fit securely without slipping, covering the shin and instep.
  • Mouthguard:
    o Type: Custom-fitted or boil-and-bite mouthguards for protection during sparring.
    o Purpose: Prevents dental injuries and protects the jaw.
  • Groin Protector (for males):
    o Type: Cup and supporter or compression shorts with a built-in cup pocket.
    o Purpose: Protects the groin area during training and sparring.
  • Sports Bra (for females):
    o Fit: Provides adequate support during high-impact activities.
    o Material: Breathable and moisture-wicking fabric.
BJJ Attire
  • BJJ Gi:
    o Components: Consists of a jacket (kimono), pants, and a belt.
    o Material: Made from durable cotton or a cotton/polyester blend.
    o Fit: Should fit snugly but allow for full range of motion. Ensure it meets the gym's and competition's specific requirements.
    o Color: Common colors are white, blue, and black, but the gym may have specific guidelines.
  • Rash Guard:
    o Purpose: Hygiene. Worn under the gi to prevent skin irritation and protect against mat burns.
    o Fit: Snug-fitting, long-sleeve or short-sleeve.
    o Material: Moisture-wicking fabric to keep you dry
  • BJJ Belt Only: Colors: Indicates the practitioner's rank. Each belt can have up to 4 stripes, which indicate progress and improvements in skill and knowledge. Once a practitioner earns all four stripes on their current belt, they are typically promoted to the next belt level.

      - White Belt: The starting point for all beginners.

      - Orange Belts (Orange/White Belt, Orange Belt, Orange/Black Belt)
      - Green Belts (Green/White Belt, Green Belt, Green/Black Belt)
    Note: Fit - Should be long enough to wrap around the waist and tie securely. Not too long and not too short.
  • No-Gi Attire:
    o Top: Rash guard or fitted athletic shirt.
    o Bottoms: Grappling shorts or spats (compression pants).
Behavior and Discipline
  • Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive attitude and support fellow members in their training journey.
  • No Intimidation: Bullying, intimidation, or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
  • Obey Instructors: Always follow the instructions of gym staff and coaches. Questioning their authority is not allowed during training sessions.
  • No Drug or Alcohol Use: The use of drugs or alcohol before or during training is strictly prohibited.
  • No Intimate Relationships: Intimate relationships between students and coaches or among students are not allowed inside the gym to maintain a professional and respectful environment.
  • No Fighting or Shouting: Fighting or shouting between teammates is strictly prohibited. Disagreements should be resolved calmly and respectfully.
  • Leave Premises After Training: Members must leave the gym premises promptly after their training sessions to ensure the next group has access to the facilities without congestion.
  • Training Gear: Ensure all training gear and equipment are put back properly after use. This helps maintain an organized and efficient training environment.
Class-Specific Rules
  • Parents Not Allowed During Training: Parents are not allowed inside the gym during training sessions to maintain focus and minimize distractions.
  • No Unsupervised Students: Students who are not participating in training sessions are not allowed to be inside the gym. They should wait in designated areas outside the training space.
  • Kids’ Classes: Parents must supervise their children and ensure they follow all gym rules. Children should respect their peers and coaches.
  • Advanced Classes: Only experienced members who have been given permission by the coaches can join advanced classes. Do not join advanced classes without prior approval.
  • Open Mat: During open mat sessions, ensure all members have fair access to the space and equipment. Be mindful of others’ training.
Food and Drinks Policy
  • No Food: No food is allowed inside the gym to maintain cleanliness and prevent distractions.
  • Only Plain Water: Only plain water is allowed inside the gym. No other drinks, such as sports drinks, sodas, or juices, are permitted.
  • No Coffee or Sweets: No coffee or sweets are allowed inside the gym to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
  • No Smoking or Vaping: Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited inside the gym and on gym premises.
Consequences
  • Warnings: Members who break the rules will receive verbal warnings.
  • Suspensions: Repeated offenses may result in temporary suspension from the gym.
  • Termination: Severe or repeated violations can lead to permanent termination of gym membership.


CONSENT & WAIVER

  • Assumption of Risk: I understand and acknowledge that participating in MMA, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu involves inherent risks of physical injury. These activities require physical exertion and involve the possibility of serious injuries, including but not limited to bruises, cuts, broken bones, concussions, and even permanent disability or death. I willingly assume all risks associated with these activities, including those arising from the negligent acts or omissions of others
  • Release of Liability: In consideration of being allowed to participate in training and events at Fight For Fitness Sdn. Bhd., I hereby release, waive, and discharge Fight For Fitness, its owners, instructors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, or causes of action arising out of or connected to my participation in these activities. This release includes claims of negligence on the part of Fight For Fitness or its representatives.
  • Medical Treatment Consent: In the event of an emergency, I consent to receive necessary medical treatment and allow Fight For Fitness Sdn. Bhd. to contact my emergency contact listed above. I agree to be responsible for any medical expenses incurred. I also authorize Fight For Fitness to administer basic first aid if needed.
  • Rules and Conduct: I agree to follow all rules and guidelines set forth by Fight For Fitness Sdn. Bhd.. I understand that failure to comply with these rules may result in suspension or termination of my membership without a refund. I agree to wear appropriate attire and protective gear during training sessions and events.
  • Image and Likeness Release: I grant permission to Fight For Fitness Sdn. Bhd. to use photographs and videos of me taken during training sessions and events for promotional and marketing purposes. I understand that these materials may be used in print and digital media, including social media platforms and public websites. I waive any rights to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of these images.
  • Acknowledgment and Agreement: I have read and understood this Waiver and Release of Liability. I acknowledge that by signing below, I am giving up my right to sue Fight For Fitness Sdn. Bhd. for any injury or damage resulting from my participation in MMA, Muay Thai, or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu activities
